lyrics

There's a room in the future where I will die. This has room has been waiting for me all of my life. It may not be built yet but whenever it is... this room is where I'll cease to exist.
There's a room in the future where we will be wed. This room is filled with people who all wish us the best. We don't know its location yet, so dear, until then, this room only exists inside your head.
There are rooms in the past where all my ancestors were born. These rooms are all in ruins now but they used to have doors. And these doors would lead them to a world where they'd belong and one day, they'd leave me to write this song.
In the future, there's a room inside a house that we will buy. And we'll fill it full of things we think we need for a good life. But we will not need a single one as long as you and I are together in that room every night.
There's a room here and now where I sit and write these words. Words that will become a song that nobodies yet heard. But when you do, you all will hear it out and sing along inside of all the rooms where you all are.
